Thomas has practised in the field of Intellectual Property since 2018, working in the physics, biophysics, engineering and electronics sectors.
Before entering the patent profession, Thomas graduated from the University of Sheffield with an upper second-class master’s degree in Physics. Following this, Thomas undertook an interdisciplinary PhD in biological physics. Thomas’ PhD project involved looking into protein binding interactions and related mechanical effects on cells with relevance to inflammation.
Thomas joined Secerna as a Trainee Patent Attorney in November 2018.
